The Hermann Maier Academy is a renowned ski racing academy located in Flachau, Austria. Inspired by Olympic champion Hermann Maier, the academy offers comprehensive training programs for aspiring ski racers and enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

Situated in the picturesque town of Flachau, Austria, the Hermann Maier Academy benefits from its proximity to world-class ski resorts and training facilities. Athletes have access to training slopes on the Reiteralm, Kitzsteinhorn, and Flachau mountains, providing optimal conditions for skill development and race preparation.

The Hermann Maier Academy caters to athletes from the U8 to U12 age groups, offering specialized training programs tailored to their developmental needs. Additionally, the academy provides racing camps and support for athletes in the U14 and U16 age categories, as well as ski training camps for FIS ski racers.

The academy offers a comprehensive range of training programs designed to meet the needs of athletes at various stages of their development. These programs include specialized slalom and giant slalom training sessions, aimed at enhancing athletes' technical skills and race performance. Additionally, the academy provides dedicated technique training sessions to refine athletes' overall skiing abilities. For beginners, the academy offers beginner courses as part of its ski school program, providing a supportive environment for individuals to learn the fundamentals of skiing.

The academy boasts a team of experienced coaches and trainers, including former elite ski racers and certified instructors. These coaches are dedicated to providing personalized instruction, guidance, and mentorship to help athletes reach their full potential on the slopes.

The duration of training programs at the Hermann Maier Academy varies depending on the specific program and age group. Programs may range from short-term camps or clinics to longer-term training programs spanning several weeks or months, providing athletes with ample opportunity for skill development and progression.

• All participants must possess valid accident and rescue insurance, encompassing helicopter evacuation, that extends to medical treatment and hospitalization in Austria, as well as any other country where our services are rendered, alongside provisions for repatriation if deemed necessary.

• This insurance coverage must specifically include the activities offered by Hermann Maier Academy.

• We highly recommend third-party liability insurance to provide coverage in case of accidents, ensuring protection against any resulting damages.

• Trip cancellation insurance is also strongly advised to safeguard against the cancellation of specific services provided by Hermann Maier Academy, for which full refunds are not guaranteed.

• Insurance policies must encompass all categories of indoor and outdoor sports activities.

• Please note, Hermann Maier Academy's ski training services do not encompass the provision of ski passes and equipment in the quoted price. These must be separately obtained by the client.

Interested athletes or parents can apply or register for training programs through the academy's website or by contacting the academy directly. The application process may involve submitting an online form, providing relevant information, and completing any required paperwork or payments.

The ski racing camp at the Hermann Maier Academy welcomes participants who have mastered the fundamentals of skiing, including the ability to perform parallel turns confidently. While prior experience in ski racing is not mandatory, participants should feel comfortable skiing on intermediate slopes and have a solid understanding of basic skiing techniques. For beginners who are still developing their skiing skills, the academy offers entry into the ski school program. Here, beginners can receive expert instruction and guidance from certified instructors, focusing on building a strong foundation in skiing fundamentals. As participants progress and gain confidence on the slopes, they may have the opportunity to transition into the ski racing camp to further develop their skills in a racing-oriented environment. Coaches at the academy are dedicated to providing personalized instruction and support to athletes of all skill levels, ensuring that each participant receives the guidance they need to excel on the racecourse.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Bookings All bookings must be made through:

• The Hermann Maier Academy online shop.
• Email to: info@hermann-maier-academy.com
• In person at the Hermann Maier Academy office in Flachau

For every booking, Hermann Maier Academy will send a booking document showing all the services hired, the prices, and any applied discounts or credits.

Bookings should be made a minimum of 4 weeks in advance to avail a 10% discount.

Bookings should be made at least 10 days in advance of the desired date of service.

Payments can be made with:

• Credit card using the secured payment link we will send by email with the booking.
• Credit card by sending your card details via email or by giving them over the phone.
• Bank transfer with all fees paid by the ordering client. Hermann Maier Academy must receive the booking amount in full and in Euros into our bank account. Please email us the bank transfer receipt.
• Cash payments in Euros are accepted for bookings made at our office.

2. Cancellation and Refunds If you cancel your booking for any reason, the following refund policy will be strictly applied:

• Up until 4 weeks before arrival: 90% refund, 10% payable (minimum €20 maximum €300 cancellation fee, per booking).
• Between 4 weeks and 7 days before arrival: 50% refund. 50% payable.
• 7 days or less before arrival: No refund. 100% payable.

If cancellation is due to a reason related to “official travel restrictions” (pandemic, war, etc.), we will proceed with a 90% refund, 10% payable (minimum €20 maximum €300 cancellation fee, per booking). To be eligible for this refund, clients must be subject to one or more of the following circumstances:

• Their country or region of origin has established travel limitations or imposed a quarantine for returning travelers.
• The place where the services take place has established severe limitations (i.e., mandatory quarantine) for travelers arriving from the client’s country or region.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all products and services provided by Hermann Maier Academy. In the event that any accommodation, other than the Hermann Maier Academy Hotel, has been booked, the terms and conditions of a third-party service provider will apply.

3. Trip Cancellation Insurance We strongly recommend that clients have trip cancellation insurance that covers unused services (offered by Hermann Maier Academy) with sufficient coverage. Many credit cards include travel insurance when paying with them. Please check your travel insurance conditions carefully, and if they do not cover the cancellation of your booked services with Hermann Maier Academy, we strongly recommend adding it to your policy.

5. Late Arrival Policy Clients who arrive late or fail to show up are NOT entitled to any refund or extend the duration of a session.

6. Alternative Activities In the event of the entire skiable area being closed due to technical problems, bad weather, avalanche control, poor snow conditions, or any reason beyond the control of Hermann Maier Academy, we will endeavor to offer alternative relevant activities. The additional cost of these activities will be covered by the previously paid training fees; therefore, no refund will be given for ski training days lost due to circumstances beyond the control of Hermann Maier Academy.

7. Rescheduling Rescheduling of services by the client, that has already been booked and confirmed, is strictly subject to availability. In the event of situations that are beyond the control of Hermann Maier Academy, we reserve the right to reschedule any booked and confirmed services. Hermann Maier Academy will always inform the client at the earliest possible time in these situations.

8. Payment Methods Payments can be made with:
